Ever since the inception of this website back in January, 2008, our mission has been to provide our users with the best possible backlinks to their site.
The backlink to your site from your intel page comes with a large screenshot, and of course it's dofollow.
We've now taken the unusual step of printing all external links on your intel pages using Javascript, so they won't be picked up as links by the search engines.
While the external links have been nofollow from the start (unlike, of course, the backlink to the contributor's site), in June Google revealed that although no PageRank is passed on to nofollowed links, links marked as nofollow do consume some of the PageRank on the page, diluting the link juice that would otherwise flow to the dofollow links on the page.
So what happens when you have a page with “ten PageRank points” and ten outgoing links, and five of those links are nofollowed? Let’s leave aside the decay factor to focus on the core part of the question. Originally, the five links without nofollow would have flowed two points of PageRank each (in essence, the nofollowed links didn’t count toward the denominator when dividing PageRank by the outdegree of the page). More than a year ago, Google changed how the PageRank flows so that the five links without nofollow would flow one point of PageRank each.
We naturally do want to pass on as much PageRank as possible to your backlinks, so from today on all external links, as well as links embedded within the text of contributed content, will be not just nofollowed, but printed using Javascript, rendering them invisible to search engines. The appearance will remain unchanged for human users.
As a consequence, more PageRank will flow to your websites.
Speaking of PageRank, the PageRank of Qondio is still quite low, due to the re-branding and switchover to a fresh domain name that took place in July. We are expecting that the next PageRank update will increase our PageRank to a more deserved 5/10. Look forward to increased link juice flowing to your sites soon.
