113Tidbits: Entrecard’s Last Gasp – Get Bent

noentrecard1

This little gem was found in my inbox today. I think it's time to roll on over to the Adgitize and let these pogues slowly go the way of the BlogRush.

For a limited time only, we are lowering the price of our credit sale by 50%! Below are the new rates.
If you are interested in purchasing additional credits, please login to your dashboard and click on the “buy more” link on the top right hand corner.

4,000 credits = $12

Thank you, but I'll take my chances with a network that gives a benefit and not just a horrific bounce rate. It's so bad, that I can't even give away Entrecard credits. And yes I have built up quite a few and really looking to offload them.

Hey, if you're an Entrecarder, comment on this post and receive a cool 100 points to help me deplete my supply. Since I can't even cash the crap in.

This website uses IntenseDebate comments, but they are not currently loaded because either your browser doesn't support JavaScript, or they didn't load fast enough.

  • When I read this email I thought of it as a 'we are getting desperate' message.

They have reduced the way we can earn credits, obviously hoping to sell more. That didn't work.
They reintroduced 'paid ads', and looking at these ads, that obviously isn't earning them anything
Now they are offering credits at half price, in the hope of earning something.

Entrecard worked, albeit with high bounce rate, until Graham, and now the new owners started concentrating on money and nothing else. Yes, they need to earn from the site, but they need to get a happy membership behind them first which is now dwindling fast.

  • True, they should have found the quality in keeping the membership happy. But instead they opted for weird rules and trying to censor those that complained via the forum. I'm pretty sure you know what happened then… the steady decline.
