Backing Up Your Wii Is Child’s Play

You can save the data on your Wii to an SD card. The Wii also accepts SDHC cards; SDHC is the high capacity version of the SD card. Nintendo makes its own SD cards. Other manufacturers also offer Wii-branded cards. Save yourself some money. Use a regular SD card. Before you get started, there's one thing you need to do. Make sure your Wii has the latest system update. Connect the Wii to the Internet. On the Wii Channel menu, select the Wii button in the bottom-left corner. On the System Settings screen, select Wii Settings. Click the blue arrow twice. This will take you to the Wii System Settings 3 menu. Select Wii System Update. Then select Yes and I Accept. Your Wii will search for system updates. Available updates will be downloaded and installed automatically. If you have the latest update, a message will tell you. I couldn't believe this was so simple, but after reading a few steps from the owner's manual; HellsBells! It was like someone stuck my toe in a light socket and turned me into mush.

  • Thanks for sharing the information about the SD card the way you explained it made it sound real simple and if its like you say then it is just childs play .Again tho its not that easy? sometimes people break down information in a way to make it sound easy but then when you get your hands on the item it turns out it wasnt simple at all??? Must check it out myself , my neighbors kid loves those games but he always has a hard time with them so Im going to tell his mom about this!
