Really hitting a funk on this date. My internship site and school environment are going well but my overall attitude towards being unemployed is really starting to weigh on me. I find no joy anymore at just going to the hospital and helping those staff that are being paid for the services that they render. I too would like to be compensated. However, being only an intern keeps me from earning while I'm learning.
This past weekend I must have applied to around 40 to 50 different jobs via jobing, careerbuilder, craigslist, workinretail, and a few others via my Linkedin profile. I'm holding out hope for some ofthese since it is the holiday and of course things could just be "slow" for call backs at the time.
At the time of this writing I just destroyed a huge bunch of people that I was following via twitter. I rid my tweetdeck of those that never responded to any comment or reply i put to them and dismissed them as being the "twitter elite".
Among them was the John Chows, the Probloggers, the shoemoneys, and many more. widdling down the list was a little refreshing. and then "BAM", i noticed my birthday gift to myself was failing to vibrate - Blackberry service estinguished for non payment of bill.
It is only more than likely a few days until we lose television, internet, and power. When these are gone, you may not here from me for a few weeks.
