Read This Aloud Or Silently
Today is the first day of the rest of my life. I embark on a new exciting journey with a new employer with medical supplies. I have laid awake the entire night thinking about the immense possibilities that are before me. As I prepare to start my day my excitement is tempered by my fear.
The fear of failure is creeping up on me causing my heart to race and sweat to appear on my brow. I start to tremble as I button my shirt. No, not again. I think to myself, my fear will not win this time. I choke back the beast that is within and practice my lines “do you want fries with that”? The sound of my voice made everything better.
As I get in my car I realize that I have forgotten my shoes and my feet are cold. I do not have time to get my shoes. I must continue on my quest to arrive at my new place of employment. I am a soldier undaunted by mere barefootedness. I will prevail, nothing can stop me, I am invincible.
