Still “Temporarily” Homeless in Florida

As of this writing me and the family have been to numerous homes and apartment complexes. They run the gamut of places that looked like Beirut mid 80’s to more ritzier places that were off the beaten path. I prefer to be in a place that has lttle to no people hanging out drinking and smoking who know’s what(I lived like that as a child in NYC), and don’t want that kind of existence for my own kids.
Today we visited a home in St. Petersburg that looked promising on paper but when we got there it wasn’t at all what we had hoped for. The woman that owned the property tried her best to get us interested but I just wasn;t feeling the 1920’s era boarding home with just installed central air.
We finally gave up looking in the immediate Tampa area and decided on two prior prospects that were in Lakeland and Brandon. Applying to both will possiblt give us a better shot at landing a place. Next week we plan to submit our apps and see how it goes..Wish us luck!!!
